Periodically (definable) re-check destination disk space
When pre-allocating multiple torrents for overnight downloading, the destination drive (particularly in the case of a smaller SSD) will fill before all torrents can allocate. This leaves many torrents in a stopped "insufficient disk space" state. These torrents do not start automatically when space becomes available (where completion moving is used).
A periodic free space check of the download destination would make it possible for the unallocated/stalled torrents to resume without user intervention.
This would be particularly useful to those users throttled during daytime/peak hours, where night time downloading is preferable and far more fruitful.

Avoid wasting a download slot for "Checking" a torrent filles
Sometimes, I have a large "Checking" queue, both for downloads (torrent re-starts) and uploads (torrent finished).
So when Vuze tries to start downloading a torrent that needs to be checked, it uses a download slot (tracker has 5 slots max allowed) for nothing. The Checking process could even last >10min sometimes.
It would be nice if Vuze could:
1. Not waste a download slot for a file that is being checked (pre-check files before starting downloads, if not ready then try to temporarily download the next file(s) in queue until "Checking" is over)
2. Pre-check the file automatically (before being…4 votes -
allow Swarm Merging with incomplete and complete downloads
Is it possible to allow Swarm Merging with incomplete and complete downloads? The Wiki says this is not allowed.
Sometimes after downloading a package, you may find a larger package (like more volumes/episodes of a series), this is common with ongoing series. Using the existing torrent to merge with the new larger torrent would save bandwidth and sometimes you can't just drag & drop files because the names are different.
Right now, I rename one file and force a recheck (with the networks disabled) to force a torrent back to the download list, but this is a pain for large…
