Again, I must stress. They say the world is full of good intentions, but that has reversed with the onset of internet community. The world is exposed to minimal slights of good intentions, and a large dung pile of bad intentions. As one suggests that chats should be torrent based, and users to be IP based, I would question who would be willing to police the situation 24/7 365 and pass judgement of live chat interaction. Such judgement would be in a true sense counterproductive to our rights of freedom of speech. Daily we struggle for rights on the internet, the right to upload and download what we wish, the right to privacy, and the aforementioned right of speech. So, in theory, to create chat rooms and then dictate how they can be used is just another example of debasing our freedoms. That is why live chat rooms are not a productive idea on Vuze. Once you establish rules, you create a hypocrisy.
I have been with Vuze for many years, and they have always strived to make things as amiable as possible to give you the torrent freedoms most desired. But as the pressure is on Vuze to obey the laws of the land, they were forced to rollback on their content. It does not mean you can no longer use Vuze as your torrent client download, you just have to adapt to round about techniques. All of these can be addressed and answered either in their data base or through the various forums. Thus, there is no need whatsoever for live chat rooms. -

Please, we want Azureus/Vuze to be a program for downloading torrents and working with them. What do you want next, have a profile and upload photos and videos?

Not a good idea. At first it might be great to quickly be able to share online technical information or what's a great torrent, but my years of being on sites I guarantee that it will turn into a social site, and start attracting the social frauds such as all of those hot American girls that are tragically trapped in west Africa and desperately need your help to survive, and the bimbos who try to redirect you to a nude model website telling you it's free but they need your credit card number as proof of age. Putting that aside it is next to impossible to keep morons out of chat rooms that have nothing better to do with their lives than think they can impress us with their lack of intelligence. I hosted an exclusive chat room on a site that was dedicated to playing the Blues, which I have a massive collection. I had a good following and played non stop music, it didn't take long before the disruptor types showed up and said the usual comments of, "This sucks" "This blows" "Play some Heavy Metal" I explained that this was not a Heavy Metal room, that there were such chat rooms, and they could go there. One replied that no one was in them and I had the largest amount of users on my board and he came to see if there were any babes that want to chat private. Well mayhem breaks out and everyone insults everyone and I eventually closed the room.
