Support for ftp download.
We have to use two different software in order to download files. One is the torrent client and another is ftp client - internet download manager.
Vuze should support both things.
There are also normal HTTP downloads which Vuze does not support, and the interface is totally wrong for that kind of functionality. You would need a source and destination window which Vuze does not have. It would just bloat the whole program out.
This is pointless. There are tons of great freely available FTP clients and also open source ones. For the Vuze team to put all that code in their application is just a waste of time when others have already done it. I'd rather have the Vuze team focus on what is really important -- the Bittorrent protocol.

Vuze uses bittorrent protocols, a whole lot more would need to be implemented for FTP
P.S Using web-seeds, you can use HTTP in Vuze to download (this would require a torrent file being created though)
fred can you explain technically what you mean?
ftp is as secure/insecure as a regular http-download.
If you refer to illegal downloads torrent/DHT is even more insecure but thats not the topic here.
+for Vuze as HTTP+FTP-Client!
FTP is a security risk
