Could you make Vuze stop preventing my PC from shutting down?
I didn't found such option in settings.
Every time I'm trying to turn my computer off, Vuze appears in the list of apps that prevent it. And after I click "shutdown anyway" next time I launch Vuze there is a message "Vuze didn't shut down tidily". Really annoying.
There is really no sense for this to be a default option especially when all torrents are downloaded.
Could you please at least give us a choice to turn that on/off?
Here's an exe to shutdown your PC running Vuze.
It is simple only has two command:
@ echo off
taskkill /f /im Azureus.exe
shutdown.exe /s /t 00
You can also make a batch file of it.
You can also schedule this exe to run before shutdown so it will be automatic. To schedule exe:
Execute gpedit.msc (local Policies)
Windows settings -> Scripts -> Shutdown -> Properties -> Add
It is really time to make Vuze close before windows shutdown.
i schedule the shutdown on my system and sometimes i have this problem too

Vuze could detect this system event, (without changing the status of the items when restarted) temporarily stop all torrents, and ensure proper application shutdown. This may help speed system shutdown and would prevent the messages.
U have a choice.. Shutdown Vuze ..'click'... Shutdown windows ..'click'..
OR ..or .. just shutdown like you always do, and ignore the Vuze startup error..
Windows will always ask about any open applications before turning off. Besides it's not smart to end any kind off downloading suddenly, it may corrupt you're file(s). So it's not Vuze preventing anything, it's Windows.
That Thing is even when one cancel the Option and manually shuts down Vuze, Vuze then has the shut down incorrectly message.
BTW I do not minimize to taskbar, however minimize to systray and have the same Problem.
techguru. Why do you have to call him a dummy? He's asking for help. Don't act like you came out of your mother knowing how to work Vuze.
this is a PEBKAC problem
heres a hint...completely shut down vuze from the taskbar dummy...or in options...have vuze not minimize to the taskbar
