The ability to customize DateTime format is awesome but it could be better. If a "Table Default" value for DateTime is configured in the Options, then that would override the Vuze <table default> and would be global so we don't have to separately customize each and every DateTime column in each and every table. This could easily be dozens of places to customize. In other words, exposé the <table default> in the Options and let us change it globally or leave it as is. This in no way changes the per column customizability offered right in the table.

What I am suggesting is adding a new page to the Options > Interface > Tables or at least a group titled "Table Formatting Defaults" and offer a few more formatting settings. For example let us set a default format for Size columns. I would love to have all sizes be represented only in MB. That way a 2.7GB torrent would appear as 2700.000MB; A 450KB to torrent would appear as 0.450MB. Notice I left three decimal places in this example. So this is not a only a request for configurability of unit of measurement of data size but additionally a formatting option. For example one could wish to leave out the MB because it is the same for all torrents. Because I have very few torrents under 1MB, I would not mind if a 200KB was rounded up to 1MB (rounding it down to 0MB would be confusing with when the value is actually 0). The point is let us format our own UI our way. The same applies to Speed columns (unit of data/sec). When thousands of torrents are in the table it is hard to visually tell that 999B/s is a whole lot slower than 10.5M/s in the row right below it. I could easily tell if they were formatted 1 for the formaer and 10,500 for the latter (or 10500 if formatted without the comma as some countries do). We should not impose US conventions on the rest of the world. All of these belong in one neat place in the Options.

If the DL and UL and speeds are reported only in one unit, say KB/s then the "k" would no longer be needed. So a 23.4MB/s speed would show as 2,3400. Allow full control over the fomatting. For example I do not want to see decimal places in the title bar because in Windows 7 those values also show live super small in title of the taskbar thumbnails. I have posted an idea to allow configuration of formatting in tables with columns for DateTime, data size, speed etc. This idea is similar but the formatting customization is not part of a table (multi-row resultset). So I guess it should be still in the Options > Interface.

Several times now I've set Vuze to shutdown when downloading/seeding is completed and then forgot that I had the option set. The result is an unexpected shutdown that can't be aborted while I'm working on something and the last download/seed suddenly completes. I've now lost several hours of work (transcodes in progress, etc.) during the couple of times this has happened.

It would be great if there were an abort option for the shutdown feature. All it needs is a pop-up timer and warning that Vuze will shutdown the computer in 2 or 3 minutes plus a button allowing the user to abort or postpone the shutdown. This simple feature would have saved me hours of lost work.

This is a common feature for things like Windows Update and other programs that need to shutdown or restart the system. Yeah, it's my own fault for setting the shutdown and then forgetting about it. But a simple abort timer would be a nice feature that would help save a lot of idiots like me from themselves.
