could be possible to start (and close) the standard gui when running vuze in console mode (console ui ) ?
    or it's already possible

    thanks

    very usefull idea
you could have vuze running in daemon mode, and use a gui (console, standard, web guis) only when needed ( (like mldonkey - http://mldonkey.sourceforge.net/Main_Page )
and maybe it could take less resources

    thanks

or we could have an option like
"only track torrents when Tracker is unavailable (torrent has no tracker or tracker is down) and when dht fails (no peers / seeds)"

    thanks

    can we have the option:
"However, perform low resource tracking when online for swarm cross-population"
for the mainline dht plugin too

    thanks

    as usual thanks very much

it seems to me, (but i'm no one) that utorret/bittorent (client) = bittorrent (protocol),
i have nothing against utorrent, but what they do becomes a standard, what other clients do is "garbage" (this word is excessive but i don't know english very well), and i don't like this.
so every client have to follow utorent, and for me this means less research and less improvement in the bittorent protocol (luckily there is vuze)

regarding the Multi-Port Trackers plugin, should it be marked as deprecated ?

    thanks

    from wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainline_DHT):

"Mainline DHT is the name given to the Kademlia-based Distributed Hash Table (DHT) used by BitTorrent clients to find peers via the BitTorrent protocol. The idea of utilizing a DHT for distributed tracking was first implemented in Azureus 2.3.0.0 (now known as Vuze), from which it gained significant popularity. BitTorrent, Inc. then incorporated a similar DHT into their client, called Mainline DHT and thus popularized the use of distributed tracking in the BitTorrent Protocol."

why did bittorrent inc. make its own implementation? :)

in this old thread (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=3387) you can read:
"Azureus's implementation is WAY better than Mainline's"
i don't know if things are different now

a nice off-topic article pro vuze:
Make the most of public torrents (speed/performance & security):
    http://torrentfreaknews.blogspot.it/2013/03/make-most-of-public-torrents.html

and what do you think about the Multi-Port Trackers plugin (http://plugins.vuze.com/plugin_details.php?plugin=multi-ports).
could be it also bundled with vuze

    thanks

you can get that info right clicking on the column "Completed On" in the "peers" tab (library or torrent details), and play with the 2 last options: "show/hide time" and "Date Format".

in "Date Format" "d" means day, "m" months and "y" year and so on

    thanks

there are already some free programs that do what you need, these programs let you choose which programs and windows services to stop when you start a game / go in game mode, when you stop playing they will restart automatically those stopped programs/services

    there is already an option ( menu view - sidebar or F7 button) that hides the sidebar, once hidden we have a triangle (with the point down), showing the contents of the sidebar;
the problem is that, in this view, there isn't the x to close items (plug-ins, etc.), so we have to press F7 (or Menu view - sidebar) again and close such items

another problem is that Vuze has (thankfully) lots of columns (in library, peers tab ...), so that when you have a lot of columns in library and/or in peers tab you have to scroll left and right continuously
could be very usefull the possibility to save the layout of the columns (all the columns displayed in library/peers tab ) and assign it a name (like the queries and views in a database), so that we can switch from one layout to another very quickly (with buttons, drop down menu ...), instead of having to go every time in "column setup" and choose the columns to show

    thanks

    could be usefull having a plugin that implement the compression of the tcp/udp header and/or a files compression like emule ( even if this will work only between vuze clients);
we could set the level of compression, the max size of files to compress (don't compress if bigger than 10 MB for example), a list of file extensions to (not) compress always, a mix of them ...

I've found this link - http://ktetch.co.uk/2012/07/multi-tracker-ignorance-or-why-you-dont-html/ - where it's explained (not very well i think) why it's not so good having lots of trackers
I'm not sure if that post is related to this extension

and how about having an option to automatically add trackers (with or without a notification) or asking the user
